If you are the person that signs up for every newsletter of every brand (yep, that’s me), you know exactly how crazy it is when it comes to sale events these days. Online-shopping obsessed as I am, there’s this one sale from Opry Mills shopping center that I just couldn’t say no to.
Just in case you haven’t heard, Opry Mills is running their Annual Bag Sale from May 26th to June 30th – only three days left! Dozens of brands are participating and providing discounts on top of their already marked-down prices. If you’re not sure where to start, I’m right here to show you some of the bags that I really liked, and might speak your “purse-onality” (pun intended)!
I say we begin with the trend that has been rocking the world lately, mini bags. Honestly, since these bags are probably not the most practical anyways, I would opt for something bold and vibrant, to really make a statement and add some edge to the whole look.
Feast your eyes on this darling pineapple embellished with amber stones by Kate Spade, which is a perfect example of mini bags that I would recommend. It easily stands out as a chic clutch, also would fit into your satchels or totes as a coin purse. Final priced at around $40, I would call it an absolute steal.
Before we finished with minis – how gorgeous are these cuties by Furla?!
Next stop, let’s move on to one size bigger, crossbody purses. Crossbodies are the go-to bags for a lot of us, as they take care of all the essentials while freeing our hands. My suggestion on picking the right crossbody: two words, roomy and versatile.
That’s why I found myself drawn to this simple color block bag by Fossil immediately after I stepped into their store. The color combo of white and grey keeps the design clean and elegant. This is a bag that has plenty of space for your daily necessities, yet small enough to wear around here and there.
If you ask me, satchels are one of the categories that come with the most variations in the bag department. A structural bag as this one covered with iKat dots can be a fun and classy addition to your 9 to 5 wardrobe, while a printed satchel in an unexpected shape is THE bag for weekends and getaways. Both of them were Kate Spade (again).
Finally, totes. It’s always a love and hate relationship between me and tote bags – they come handy without a doubt, but for so many times the lack of design kills me. Well, at least not this time in Opry Mills, where I was surprised by quite a few of them! Take a look at this smoky blue beauty by Michael Kors in a sleek north-south silhouette.
Or this – one bag (one last time, from Kate Spade) that carries it all AND speaks it all!
OK, I lied – here is a bonus section, backpacks! If you’re an Athleisure girl, these are for you. I was exceptionally impressed by these two from Coach (under $150): both were white with minimal decorations, which I would highly recommend as they could go with so many summer outfits.
Now, thank you so much for bearing with me for this long! Time to reveal the truth of my own “purse-onality”! Turns out I just couldn’t make a decision between “Modern chic” and “Athleisure”, so I picked both! #theperfectbag
