Erdem x H&M

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already know that I went crazy for Erdem x H&M – H&M’s annual designer collaboration collection for 2017. Erdem Moralıoğlu is a London based designer known for exquisite craftsmanship and feminine details (think floral patterns, lace, frills…), and obviously, this latest take with H&M is not shy of any of the above.

I briefly went through everything I purchased from this collection on my IG stories – let’s just say, every one of them is absolutely romantic and nostalgic. Here in today’s post, I’m showcasing one of the pieces that I believe to be perfect for the season, a mohair-blend sweater.

The Fair Isle print of this knit number is very festive, immediately reminds you that the holiday season is almost upon us. It is a slightly oversized fit, but not crazy slouchy. Either layering a button down underneath or wear it as it is, you could style it in so many different ways. What I chose to go with the sweater for this look, was a pair of Auburn culottes. If you keep up closely with the trends, you know how strong Corduroy is making a come-back this season – I would call it “the new velvet of the year”. Personally, I think Corduroy tends to be less flattering in many cases and simply not the easiest to wear. I would recommend starting with jackets and/or blazers when introducing the trend into your own closet. That being said, I was feeling a little adventurous putting together this ensemble and opted for these flared cropped pants in a dark brownish red color. To finish the look, I picked some super fun sock boots (yes, another “trend of the year”) with round heels which are both edgy and comfy.
